As many of my regular readers know, I have been writing a great deal about the Panic Away System, and mentioning a lot of tips in previous entries and posts.
Tody, I wanted to peel away some of the layers, and tell you a little about my experiences with the program, mention what I have found has helped me, and also the aspects that were not necessarily bad, but rather, simply did not apply to me.
I will be as detailed as possible, to give you a clearer picture of what the program, is, and isn’t.
The Panic Away Program
I would describe myself as a hard working, diligent person, but I had been experiencing a degree of anxiety over various issues in my life, referred to as GAD, or general anxiety disorder.
However, I should say that the author, Barry Joe McDonagh, has indicated that he prefers not to provide any one with labels as this can be counter productive. However, he does mention that certain terms are used as they are popularly understood, but goes into quite a considerable detail to outline his reasons for the way he thinks.
Detailed Anxiety Course
The course is very comprehensive, in that it includes a detailed eBook that I recommend you print out, for easier reading, and extra note taking, as well as three videos, available online, to help those that prefer to see information visually.
The videos are effectively made in ‘cartoon format, with the book as the soundtrack.
In addition, there are also some MP3 files, audios that you can play for specific situations, like fear and anxiety of driving, as well as a general anxiety release method. They are designed for a more instant resonse if you are not inclined to read the book.
As a reader myself, I highly recommend you read the book, as I made many extra notes in the margins.
Different Course Treatments/ Actions
The book describes the different reasons for anxiety in many people, as well as provides anoutline of different therapy options and treatments.
Most of the treatments ( I know this sounds clinical) or methods can be implementeds autonomously, at home, or in the office, and are easy to do, given time and practice. In some cases, you will feel a releasew from your anxiety in as little as ten minutes.
The book has been written in a very responsible manner, in that the methods are the result of Barry’ s personal experiences, as wel as those of many people he had interviewed, to ensure the work was as complete as possible.
He also has mentioned that in some cases, it was beneficial to take medical advice, in case you need further assistance.
He mentions various medications that can be prescribed, and advised that even though his methods are ‘natural, and autonomous, that medications have their place, if used responsibly, and are managed, so as to help you get out of a very difficult position in extreme cases. However, for the most part, the book provides enough information for you to autonomously deal with, and control your anxiety.
Different Situations
There are also different scenarios, including problems with Sleep, which I think would be a problem for almost anyone with anxiety. The reason beingm that we are often turning our anxieties over in our minds and not letting go, to sleep. He mentions a fantastic technique to overcome that and I have absolutely loved it.
I am even creating separate entries on that point in particular.
Summary- Recommended
I actually read through the book several times, as I wanted to make sure I had absorbed all the great ideas.
There is also information on diet, and the foods that work best to help minimise anxiety and fear, as well as a considerable amount of information on specific fears that people may suffer from, including the fear of flying, agorophobia, obsessive compulsive disorder and more.
My favourite part of the book was the section on the visualisation exercises, as I managed to very quickly learn the breathing and visual techniques to help many of my underlying anxieties disappear.
Best of all, whilst it can take a few goes to really get your visualisations deep, and colourful, the more detail you are able to create in your visuals, the more real and effective they become.
I can highly recommend the Panic Away Program.
I am not going to suggest that all your problems will be solved in one night, but by implementing the recommendations, and participating in the exercises in the book, you will be well on your way.
Like anything, success is based on action, and once you start, you will be glad you did.
