At first, this may seem a profound question, but with some forethought, it actually makes a lot of sense. Think of it like this. When you do a small act to make yourself a better person, you are contributing to a better world, even if in a small way. However, by doing one small thing, after another, a difference can soon be noticed. It will probably start with you, and then, after a time, others will notice. However, I may be getting ahead of myself here. So, let’s back track.
My inspiration for this article was a quote by Anne Frank, who wrote a diary of her life, during the second world war. She said, “How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” I really took some time to think about that statement, and decided to not only apply it in my life, but recommend others do so too.
Whilst I have blogs on personal development, and I promote different products to help us understand ourselves better, and be the best we can, it all comes down to a regular practice of daily behaviours, so we can slowly improve ourselves and our results. Put another way, it’s about us being the best we can be, in every aspect of life. I am not suggesting that you will be fortunate enough to change the world in one day, but rather to take the time to set small goals, daily, and see the result develop over a period of time. It has been found that a slower approach to change, done on a regular basis will result in a more uniform, and disciplined approach. How often have you made a decision to do something, got fired up, and then after a week, ran out of steam? If we’re honest, most of us have had that problem in the past. Hence, I am suggesting a more disciplined approach, in a manner that becomes a habit, rather than a shot-gun approach, that fizzles out at the end of the week.
Now, getting back to the issue of helping others, you can do so in a variety of forms, limited only by your imagination. Be on the look out as you are out and about doing your daily routine. If you see someone who may need help in the street, offer first, and take it from there. You could also be a little more discreet, and make a donation to a charity of your choice. Alternatively, just a note to say thanks to a colleague for helping you out. I think you get the idea. By being proactive in this area, on a regular basis, you will notice that you will feel better about yourself, as well as find that situations will seem to work out better for you. This is based on a combination of your state of mind, and the attraction principle.
Remember there is more to this than just helping others. You will find that you will develop a more focused energy yourself, over time, and be able to achieve more in your own life as well. I have found this is a combination of increased energy, all related to your self esteem. It almost is like a self perpetuating wheel of motion, in that your efforts to help others, also help you to aid your own improvement and development.

There are methods of thinking to substantially help you focus, and reach the financial success, you would like to see. It is about the way that you think, and train your mind to solve problems, and face challenges. Your thinking methods will make all the difference. It is about your mind, and what you can achieve with it. |
