How to turn off a panic attack with deep abdominal breathing

1. Put one hand on your chest, and one on your abdomen.

2. Inhale slowly + deeply through your nose. Try to direct the breath
downward into your belly, so that it pushes the hand resting on your
abdomen. (The hand on your chest shouldn’t move)
3. Exhale through your mouth, making a quiet “aahhh” sound.

Breath is a neccesity of life. Each breath you take is a small miracle of
chemistry and physics. Even so, most people never think about breathing
unless the air is polluted or they have asthma or allergies. Most people
take this everyday miracle of breathing for granted.
